God’s promises to me are God’s promises to you.
If you feel alienated by family or community like I did, and you hope that God is still with you, let me tell you from personal experience to hang on. You may think that you have little to hang on to. When I was at my most vulnerable, I had this over whelming feeling that God wanted me to trust Him. I thought to myself, “It is because of you, Oh God, that I am in this mess. I trusted you to “save” me from myself and the evil I have been fighting.” The picture was, and is much bigger than I am and God’s way of thinking is beyond my way of thinking. What does it mean to be trust God? What does God mean when God says that his strength is manifested in our weakness? What does God mean when we are encouraged to confess our “sin” to those who are safe, so we can receive healing?
I tell you the truth when I tell you often time those of us that are different are the solution rather that the problem, to a selfish world, bigoted minds, and blind communities.
I will add to these promises as I run into them, that they might encourage you.
It is written:
- I will never leave you nor forsake you. Hebrews 13:5
- I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:20
- I give them eternal life, and they shall never perish; neither shall anyone snatch them out of My hand. John 10:28 NKJV
- Being confident of this very thing, that he which hath begun a good work in you will perform it until the day of Jesus Christ: Even as it is meet for me to think this of you all, because I have you in my heart; inasmuch as both in my bonds, and in the defense and confirmation of the gospel, ye all are partakers of my grace. Philippians 1:6
