An outrage, a disgrace, an evil…..

Religions of today are still battling over what is right and just, and what is corrupt and evil.

We live in a society that has enmeshed our spirituality with our politics, and justify horrible, cruel acts to the person of Jesus.  We live in excess while most of the world lives in poverty.  We manipulate the price of grain making some wealthy at the suffering of others, and stand by while they starve.  Yes, we live in a world of plenty as we plunder the rest of the world’s natural resources. We can be greedy, bigoted and hateful to those who oppose us and slap the Jesus sticker of our evil ways to justify our self created box of abominations.

How did we get here?  We lost the purpose and goal of the gospel.  And to be honest and to the point, for those Christians that aren’t following the teachings of Jesus, they’re anti-Christ.

Over the years I have spoken with others who have support their politics by enmeshing concepts of capitalism with their cultural Christianity.  They elect molesters, thieves, liars and murders, all because these politicians say they want to outlaw abortion, take away the rights of people how think differently and live differently than themselves.  Cultural Christians become fearful at the bidding of distorted teaching. This brain washing comes from the pulpit and is anathema and an abomination.  Fear can be a major tool to generate lots of cash for those who create fear and hysteria.  This is anti-Christ and the only way to correct is to call it out.

How do we fix it? We can fix it on an individual basis, person by person.  Pray, reading your New Testament and discovering what Jesus says about the human condition and how we can help one another through loving support. Meet with others.  Let your minds be transformed by love and truth. Share and discuss what you find about God’s love toward mankind, through the teachings of Jesus. The truth makes us free and gives us hope to be Christ’s thoughts and actions in a broken and addicted world.
